The glasses have to fit with your 3D-display. If you do not have a 
3D-display, anaglyphs (red/green, red/cyan or the like) is your only chance.

There are 3D-displays that work with shutter glasses, some work with 
polarizers, and some try to do it without glasses at all. All modern 
3D-displays can show full colors, which anaglyphs can't properly.
