Well, while the core problem of continuous warnings is solved, up and
then I do get "Audio device got stuck!" complaints from MPlayer playing
audio files with -ao pulse. The easiest reproducible way to trigger
this on my Fedora installation is to increase or reduce the volume with
GNOME keyboard shortcuts (I use Ctrl+Super+Up and Ctrl+Super+Down), as
GNOME 3 plays a popping sound on each increment as audible feedback.
Sure, this is a very minor inconvenience, but maybe MPlayer should be
even more patient with pulseaudio?
Thanks,
