The SDL lib I compiled resulted in a purplish square in the upper left 
corner, I didn't notice until well after distributing it. No one has 
said anything so far. I started using Sherpya's from his site and it 
worked perfect. I can't find any special instructions for compiling SDL 
for mplayer, could be he made modifications to his source, problem with 
gcc, or mingw.org's toolchain as a whole.
