Sorry, unfortunately, it is not.

mplayer-vaapi is a patched version which is not supported by the mplayer 
team. It is instead maintained by the libva people. They're targeting at 
testing the libs and drivers, not so much at the needs of end users. 
mplayer-vaapi was last updated in august, the update before this one was 
in january.

To get in touch with mplayer-vaapi people, look for libva-mailing lists. 
But do not expect much help about every-day-problems there.
