[MPlayer-users] Turning GNOME MPlayer into a normal one

I mentioned it in original name - in gnome-shell, you can see
application name in top bar; I don't really know how explain, here is
some random screenshot:

As you can see, terminal has custom title, but is called "Terminal" with
proper icon in the top bar.
Well, whenever my custom-compiled mplayer is running, it displays
"GNOME MPlayer" there with gnome-mplayer icon.
The way gnome-shell sets this name is explained here:

I looked a bit in mplayer code and failed to understand why it becomes
"gnome" one, though, it never sets such name anywhere.

I understand this this is a very silly issue, but it's been bothering me
for a while and I decided to ask. Maybe someone is aware of some easy
way of changing it. Anyhow if you don't know, don't bother - it's not
really worth investing time in it.

I'm not sure about bug report - I'll check this in the future, I just
workaround this bug by using mplayer2.
Basically, as of late some fansubber groups encode anime such way so
it's unplayable by mplayer. It outputs something like

Слишком много (4096 в 1577341 байтах) аудиопакетов в буфере!

Возможно Вы проигрываете 'неслоёный' поток/файл или неудачный кодек?
Для AVI файлов попробуйте форсировать 'неслоёный' режим опцией -ni.

After that it displays garbage or quits.


mplayer2 which was compiled at the same time as mplayer (mplayer with latest
ffmpeg git, mplayer2 with latest libav git at that moment) plays these files
without problems.

It's not such a big deal and maybe is already fixed in latest mplayer, I didn't
get to check it yet. What worries me a bit is that amount of such files is
increasing lately, but since I have to use mplayer2 for mkvs with ordered
chapters anyway I just use it for these files too.

Next time I'll be compiling mplayer svn, I'll check if this issue is
present and will submit proper bug report if it is.
