When building Live555 4.30.2013 you have to define:
RTSPCLIENT_SYNCHRONOUS_INTERFACE=1

I use MinGW in Windows, what I do is do "./genMakefiles mingw", edit
"liveMedia/Makefile" and add " -DRTSPCLIENT_SYNCHRONOUS_INTERFACE=1" to
COMPILE_OPTS, then build Live555.
