There are (at least) three possibilities:
You can add "--disable-mencoder" to the configure line 
in your script, you can change "make -j$cpu" to 
"make -j$cpu mplayer" in your scipt or you can 
manually put last weeks FFmpeg into your newly 
checked out MPlayer:
