Subject: [MPlayer-users] Playing Multiple Mono Streams

Is it possible to play multiple mono streams that are embedded in a ProRes (.mov) file at the same time?  These audio steams are mono and each are for Left, Right, Center, etc.  In QuickTime Player, you can select several at the same time, hence being able to playback 5.1 audio that is encoded as separate mono tracks (they are routed to the appropriate channels in the sound card based on their channel assignments).  Using mplayer with the "-demuxer mov" option I can play this file, but with only one audio track at a time (using lavf demuxer option causes the video to be choppy).

Thanks,
Darren
