[MPlayer-users] Dolby Surround detection

Hi,

I'm playing my DVDs in a 5.1 environment. Playing 6 channels is ok, and 
playing stereo is also ok.

If a stereo channel contains Dolby Surround (4 channels), the surround 
audio filter would come in. But is there a way to have mplayer 
automatically use the surround filter when playing stereo with matrix 
encoded surround? It should not be active if there's no embedded 
surround signal, but automatically switch on 4 channels if they are 
available (and of course, play 6 channels if the input has 6 channels).
