[MPlayer-users] receive from ffmpeg tcp

Hello all.  I'm trying to use mplayer to "live stream" kind of like
point to point, from an ffmpeg instance running on a different
computer.  I'm familiar with using some udp protocols (like mpegts
over udp) which works ok, but I'd like to have the losslessness of
tcp.  Does anybody know of a transport protocol that ffmpeg can put
out (in tcp) that mplayer can receive with?

(as a side note, it might be nice if mplayer were able to "listen" on
ports, equivalent to FFmpeg's tcp://127.0.0.1:2000?listen)
