  I cannot reproduce this behaviour here with mplayer in slave mode. I
guess it either is vo specific / -wid specific (if you are using that)
or you are accidentally reseting it yourself.

  I have no more ideas for now. If you can tell me how I can reproduce
it here I might look some more into it.
