I suggest just pulling the latest subversion.

I built on Fedora 20 last night, and it is running fine.
There were lots of warnings about a define for MACH_MACH something
missing, but no errors.

From mplayer -v,

MPlayer SVN-r37116-4.8.2 (C) 2000-2014 MPlayer Team
