BTW, Fedora 21 will get the 142 version of x264 out of the box

http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/development/rawhide/source/SRPMS/repoview/x264.html

but Fedora 20 is stuck on 138, so the fix really helps to avoid the
modest hassle of building x264 from git.
