Run "gdb mplayer" in MPlayer's source directory
and them (on the gdb prompt) "r yourfile" to
get useful results.

Sorry about top posting. IT is/was yahoo's fault could see where message started/ended :(
I do not know what triggered the error or not able to play on MOD files. I just gave up(since I did not get any replies :( ] Then I downloaded mplayer 1.2.1.xz and compiled and installed it over svn and it worked again. This is on a Fedora 22 x86_64 system. I was happily using mplayer svn updating it $ svn update , ./configure --prefix=/usr, make & make install for a good while. This is why I reported the issue. But the gdb documentation and how to run it in the help section is/was no good use to me. All it told me was that a recent driver could have caused this to happen. A recent CPU/???? caused mplayer to crash... this should not have happened and it(message does not specify how to fix/truly report the actual bug) and I did read up on gdb and I recompiled mplayer to enable backtrace but it was of no good use. If you can tell me or anyone else do these steps, I can try but reading a page which tells me do this and I try it and get nothing out of it.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Antonio
