[MPlayer-users] Can mplayer use rotation metadata?

midentify says ID_VID_0_ROTATE=-90.000000
ffprobe says displaymatrix: rotation of -90.00 degrees

But mplayer doesn't actually perform the rotation (automatically?). However, ffplay does.
