[MEncoder-users] Help building xvid & mencoder

Can someone please help me with building mencoder with xvid support?
I'm running Mac OS X on a PowerBook, and I'm trying with the newest 
builds (1.1.0b1 & 1.0pre6).

Please note that I'm not really unix savvy (just know the basics like 
configure, make, make install).
