I can't see how that would help anything, and there is no immediate
"threat" I can seen.
Apart from that I am unfortunately at loss of a way of operating that
all can accept (the previous arrangement of Uoti committing as he likes
it and we change it if it bother us obviously does not work for him,
and leaving the code as it is while several of us patch our local trees
does not really "work" either though it wasn't worth starting a new
round of discussion to me before).
