Thanks for your comments, Mosu. I think I can fix all of the obvious 
errors you pointed out-- I would have noticed them myself, except that I 
am not exactly the most ingenious C coder. I'm not sure how my stupid 
</text>-checking made it past GCC.

By the way, I tried to fix the TODOs myself, but I couldn't figure out 
how to concatenate the strings correctly...
