yes, u asked for comments, and we (i and arpi at least IIRC) readed the MCF 
spec and posted many comments & suggestions (see mcf-mplayer list or whetever 
it was called) some of the comments i remember
1. droping frames because a crc doesnt match is stupid, as normal (non ms) 
codecs can recover most of the image 
2. other error resistancy things (a single inserted byte would make he whole 
file unuseable) 

and u completly ignored all comments & started flaming about linux & GPL IIRC 
...

better? its hard to awnser, i have never seen a working implementation of mcf 
or matroska, just incredible amounts of mails on every list from u on how 
good it is

btw, a nice quote from monty, which is still very appropriate (since mcf 
started...)
