Yeah, the snipped was written before I finished some of my "does this
compile?" checking and then reversing changes for the sake of sanity,
and I didn't realize that the reversals had negated that particular
paragraph. It hit me after I'd already sent the message, but by that
point I didn't think it was worth replying just to point it out
unless/until someone had already commented.

Now, off to something else, hopefully a little less hastily this time...
