Well, I did check that before further invertigation, and before even
posting to this list, otherwise, sure as hell is hot, I'd have gotten
flamed! ;-)

I ran "fakeroot debian/rules clean" beforehand. I always thought it was
the same, is it not?

Oh-oh... bad news... thought MPlayer was rock-solid... ;-)
Well, in doubt, I'm just gonna download a fresh checkout from here at
the univ', just to make sure I build a clean version on MPlayer, and
should the problem disappear, I'll just try to see what was going wrong
with a big diff between both directories...
I keep you posted.
