 I'm not sure about ASS but SSA seems to be supported by mplayer (at least
in cvs). It might not support all the features.

 Since i plan to destroy subtitle support i might try (problem is i've never
seen mkv with or w/o subtitles). Don't hold your breath thou =o)

 It's called MPL2 similar to microDVD but uses only time (in tenth of
seconds i think while microDVD uses frame numbers)
