Actually I would have to turn off netscape, emacs, and mpg123 before it
shows up on top. If I sort by memory usage both are near the top, but that
is expected.

In rh7.0 I'm using the nvidia driver, I have the kernel module and the XFree
module. I am using Xfree 4.0.1. with the -vo x11 option in rh7.0 I get a
black screen with sound.
In rh7.1 I'm using the nv driver. The kernel module provided with the
release and from nvidias site complains of symbol clashing when insmod'd.
The nvidia X11 driver just doesn't work. I'm assuming that it needs the
kernel driver as a prerequite. When playing I need to do -vo x11, and it
uses about 10% of CPU. the memory usage is slightly higher but not a lot.
When using -vo sdl it peaks at 15% when the movie is being scaled. Memory
usage is also slightly higher.
Both CPU and memory usage is higher in RH7.1 because of the lack of
acceleration.
Anyway, RH7.1 id bleeding edge. It isn't available in stores yet. It's not
reasonable to expect it to be perfect. Give it a month, and nVidia will have
drivers that work.
