it seems to be broken. btw it's independent from codecs pack, it uses
native bulit-in linux codecs fo rthis file, not DLLs.

I've never heard about this, but everything is possible.
If you find a codec which godd for these files, the send it to us.
But mpeg is mpeg, it's a standard, so it should be playable with a 100%
standard compliant mpeg decoder (MPlayer uses libmpeg2, it's 100% ok).

And if audio is also broken, it means that yoru file is really broken.
mpeg layer 2 is too simple to be incompatible :)

i think they are VCDs or grabbed from VCD. maybe it's the problem,
bad grabbing method, bad disk etc.
