[Mplayer-users] Some Q about installing

Hi folks,

I am new to mplayer and  I need help to get it running. I have the
gcc-3.0.1 from the gnu.org. First of all is it ok to make the mpleyer
with this compiler.

Second, I already installed the package using this gcc (which is not the
default one on my machine) I used the following commands:

./configure --cc=/usr/local/bin/gcc
make
make install

It did not complain about anything, but now that I try to run the player

/usr/local/bin/mplayer

it gives me the following error message:

mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.3: cannot
load shared object file: No such file or directory

How can I solve this problem,
