Tried with tccat, seems to work ok. At least the size matches.

BTW, the straced error is the following:
_llseek(5, 524288, 0xbfffcc44, SEEK_SET) = -1 EINVAL (Invalid argument)
Does the 3rd argument (address?) look reasonable?

Will try to rent another dvd...
