Lol, it's not a bug, it's a feature, called aspect ratio awareness, you could 
even watch video correctly scaled on a 16:9 screen if you change 
MONITOR_ASPECT to correct values for that (ie. 16.0/9.0) or if you want very 
precise scaling measure horionzal and vertical viewable area of your screen, 
let's say 43.5cm X 31.7cm or something like that and put it into 
MONITOR_ASPECT in vo_sdl.c (#define MONITOR_ASPECT 43.5/31.7.
