I'm not using it. Besides it can't be a compiler related problem, unless you think
the windows divx-4 was also comiled with gcc-2.96, which i really doubt.

I think i got it...... since mplayer needs windows dll's (no f'n idea why and how)
the bugs in the windows codec can also be present in mplayer... duh!
Could anyone encode and send me a small test Divx-4 file with stereo sound, so i can
test if it's something to do with my brother's encoder program? Like i said, we
triple-checked on his machine, and the files -are- in stereo, however there might be
some obscure weirdness with the encoder he used.
