well, that works the best with me too, but the sound on some videos sounds 
like... i dunno, maximal 7.5 bit quality... i fixed this with setting the 
srate to 48000, but once again some videos run at double speed... same as 
ocurred with -ao=oss. did you notice something like this?

of course is video more important than sound on watchin an AVI :-)
