[MPlayer-users] dvd -ss seeking & minimalist feature request

just doesn't work.s. never has worked properly, i guess it's because it's 
got chapters and all that, but using -ss always goes to somewhere past 
that point.

and could the entire length of a film and the point at which a file 
finishes be left on the screen. if an avi naturally ends, the A-V 
information and all that is written over. Would it be possible to print 
the length of a dvd/divx movie before starting to play it? using the 
frameno stuff to get bitrate estimates is so drawn out (but actully i 
presume you could actaully copy the sound and then dumpaudio it but 
still...) showing the full length of the film would make manually 
calculating a bitrate vastly easier.

and i asked earlier but no body replied.. will there be a network 
stream *output* for mplayer soon?
