[MPlayer-users] DVD audio and subtitle problems

i have an idea, maybe i'll try that tomorrow but probably
someone has good knowledge of the structures of VOBs
and can give me a hint if this could work:
as i already wrote, the audio stream on disc1 reverts to
russian from time to time and some players (not only mplayer)
have problems to play the audio stream on disc2. so i think
the VOB structure is damaged anyhow on these DVDs

if i would concatenate all VOBs and pipe them into
mencoder, is there a chance that a fine output video appears?
could it be that audio frames have been stored in the wrong
.vob file or something?
i don't know much about DVD authoring but maybe such things
can appear on bad designed DVDs?
