I thought that could be a problem with the hardware. Just for knowing
if it can be the problem I have changed the matrox G450 for an all G200
with same result...

When I load the mga_vid module the log in the /var/log/messages
seams to be OK:

Dec 17 09:54:15 grande kernel: Matrox MGA G200/G400/G450/G550 YUV Video interface v2.01 (c) Aaron Holtzman & A'rpi
Dec 17 09:54:15 grande kernel: mga_vid: Found MGA G400/G450 Dec 17 09:54:15 grande kernel: mga_vid: MMIO at 0xd28c0000 IRQ: 11 framebuffer: 0xE0000000
Dec 17 09:54:15 grande kernel: mga_vid: OPTION word: 0x40141560 mem: 0x05 SDRAM
Dec 17 09:54:15 grande kernel: mga_vid: detected RAMSIZE is 32 MB
Dec 17 09:54:15 grande kernel: syncfb (mga): IRQ disabled in mga_vid.c

	I am without ideas again....

	bye

	S.
