[MPlayer-users] Unable to play DVD's

I'm unable to play a dvd on last (and any) version of MPlayer on Mandrake 
Linux 9.
Each time I get the error:
Libdvdread: can't seek to block 256
Libdvdread: can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO
Can't open VMG info!

The DVD-drive is correctly mapped :
# ls -l /dev/dvd
lr-xr-xr-x    1 root     root           30 dec 18 19:27 /dev/dvd ->
