hello, i usually record stuff from tv with mencoder, and it would be great 
if it could record to segmented avis. I want this for two reasons, the 
largest free space is on a fat partition where one file can only be 2G, 
and i also have some space spread out on other partitions, so it would be 
really useful if mencoder could read and write segmented avis. Virtualdub 
has this functionality, but of course i can't cap with it in linux.
