Just checked the subpack I have, and in the .idx file each stream is
labelled:

excerpt:

# Chinese
id: zh, index: 0
# Decomment next line to activate alternative name in DirectVobSub /
# Windows Media Player 6.x
# alt: Chinese
# Vob/Cell ID: 1, 2 (PTS: 12746)
timestamp: 00:01:28:388, filepos: 000000000
timestamp: 00:01:31:191, filepos: 000006000

another excerpt, one third of the way through the file:

# English
id: en, index: 1
# Decomment next line to activate alternative name in DirectVobSub /
# Windows Media Player 6.x
# alt: English
# Vob/Cell ID: 1, 2 (PTS: 12746)
timestamp: 00:01:28:388, filepos: 000003000
timestamp: 00:01:31:191, filepos: 000007800
timestamp: 00:01:34:060, filepos: 00000a000

This is the case in all hte multiple language vobsubs I have..

Thanks,
