Ansii,
	Firstly, these attributes are suported only by the xv output (not
by x11 and sdl), and that too if and only if xvideo supports the
XV_BRIGHTNESS and XV_CONTRAST attributes. U should verify using "xvinfo"
that xvideo on ur video card supports these attributes.
