[MPlayer-users] mplayer only displaying image in half the window

Hi All,

I had mplayer working nicely on my laptop at 1600x1200 resolution. I
just dropped the res down to 1024x768 and tried to watch a video and its
now only displaying the image in a bit over 1/2 (around 2/3) of what it
should be. ie squashed/bad aspect ratio. There is a black rectangle
below the image which indicates it knows the right size of the video but
its just not displaying using the right sizes.

I flicked my laptop back to 1600x1200 and tested on the same files, its
fine. Drop it down to 1024x768 and its not. I changed KDE resolutions
via removing the 1600x1200 mode in my XF86-config file.

Comparing the text mplayer outputs at the beginning, it says all the
same info, the only lines changed are those dealing with the display res
which has changed.

Does anyone know what I have done here to cause this. I had it working
but have to run in 1024 or lower to get TV out working.
