the same driver is used for all S3 cards. does it mean that you can play
quake3 with s3 trio pci ? no.

afaik only g400 tvout is supported under linux, g450/550 uses different
tvout chip, and it is not yet supported. btw the built-in x11 driver doesn't
support tvout afair, you need the mga_HAL stuff from matrox site.
