Couldn't be possible (== does bt848 support it ?) to acquire without
compression (or with just a REALLY FAST compression, maybe a lossless
one) and THEN (re)compress the file at any framerate (since it's already
on disk, it's not critical)?
This way, just a fast storage is required (about 25MB/s) but then the
encoding could even be distributed on a large cluster (using a Gbit
NIC)...
Today, disks aren't SO expensive, even fast ones, and who wants to do
some serious AV editing needs them anyway...

Or am I missing something ?
