Upgraded again. Now it seems it works, but not in fullscreen mode.
Symptoms:
While playing in -fs mode, it opens an small window (regular xterm size) and
the output of a corner of the movie is printed in that small window. The
rest of the screen has the normal widgets of my xfce desktop.
If more detailed description of the problem is needed, please request it.
