ok,

everyone told their opinions about why you should/shouldn't buy a NVIDA card.
because of the driver etc.

but i think noone told about 3d ( ok, perharps this is not the best place to 
talk about it, because mplayer is ( at least yet :-) a 2d program )..

but for 3d nvidia is simply the best you can get...

matrox is a good card but it doesn't offer the same features or performance 
as nvidia.

ati ... well. the new radeons are good ones, actually i'm not sure if they
support the newest features like pixel and vertex shading....

to make a long story short, if you want to get the best 3d card, you'll have 
to get a geforce 3 , which is a nvidia product :-)

i'm not saying that this is a good thing or bad, i only wanted to say that 
you don't have a choice for a 3d card.

p.s: i'm not an expert in linux ( i've begun to use it a month ago ), so 
maybe i wasn't correct in everything... then please correct me :-)
