You could:
1) ask your cable operator (maybe pretending you want to tune
a TV set, you get the idea ...)

2) borrow a recent TV set (one which will _tell_ you the freqs
it has detected), let it auto-scan, note the freqs and then
report them to xawtv, mplayer, etc...
