[MPlayer-users] mplayer + problems on sync, speed, wmv, and keypad

Hi,


I'm writing you because i'm having little troubles with mplayer. Using
the last cvs version (01-06-2002) + cvs ffmpeg (or other codecs) + 0.60
"win" codecs doesn't correct this.

the problems are the following:

-when using -vo xv, i can't use the numeric keypad (like 5 to skip many
minutes etc), but it does work when i'm in -vo sdl

-the play-speed is weird, when i play some divx, it seems to be played a
bit too slow, maybe this is due to my old sb awe64 which can play only
in 44100 (when 48000 Hz is asked?),  i can clearly hear the difference
with xine: tones of the voices or music are higher. I also use RTC (on
1024Hz). I acknowledge i'm maybe wrong: maybe it's xine that plays it
too fast ;) But it sounds better with xine on this one.


- i have avi/sync problems on many different files, even with -ni: i
have uploaded 2 of them on mplayerhq.hu (how-highfr.avi
allymcbealep1vf.avi), those are not the only one, but they are the most
bothering, since you can't play 1 minute without being desynced.

- wmv codec being played with and a bit broken? dunno: when i'm
connecting to the wmv stream: http://mss.streampower.be/topavhi
only one frame on to seems to be played, the other is skipped, with the
error:Start playing...

etc, this one worked in older releases of mplayer
