why?
-npp help or -npp <string argyument> is valid
-pp help is not valid
-pp <number> is valid

i said -npp not -vop npp !
there is no video filter named npp, so -vop npp is not valid at all
-npp is an option, not a filter name

you can't see the difference between -vop pp[=opt] and -pp/-npp options

try  -vop pp -npp lb
or -pp 0x20000
or -vop pp=0x20000
