Uhm... Maybe it's not too useful... RAID works better if it can handle
the physical device...
Since I'm not going to repartition the system (one 175G RAID5 partition
for the data, a 60G RAID0 for saving the stream, another disk on another
channel for the system), I think I won't use LVM.
I'll probably use two 30G disks w/ sw RAID0 (striping) to get best write
performance and save the uncompressed stream (at 16MB/s I can save up to
aboun 1hour of full-quality video...). Then, onche the acquisition is
stopped, I'll compress it to the 175GB RAID5...
The Athlon900 I'm thinking to buy should be enough to handle 16MB/s on
RAID0... Maybe even a slower cpu could be enough... Well, I'll first try
the P200MMX :-)

Is there a good video editing app for Linux ? Broadcast2000 worked only
for MPGs (and I couldn't ever understand how to use it :-((( ).
