[MPlayer-users] mencoder troubles

i've been trying to rip a dvd using mencoder from mplayer pre 4 i've 
tried 3 pass divx encoding using:

> mencoder -dvd 1 -ovc frameno -o frameno.avi

which works and then : mencoder -dvd 1 -oac copy -pass 1 -br=1100 -ovc 
divx4 -divx4opts -o movie.avi
which tells me that divx4opts is not a mplayer/mencoder option

any ideas??
