[MPlayer-users] blinking subtitles

Hi,
I have been using very happily the mplayer for an year but I have never 
managed
to make subtitles work right: they almost constantly blink, sometimes more,
sometimes less but almost always blinking anyway.

I've just RTFM but found nothing about this and before reporting a full bug
report I'd like to know if this is a known bug or not.
