[MPlayer-users] -oac copy in mplayer?

hi,

i know that i can save an asf stream with mplayer outputting to PCM, but is
there any current way to save the encoded stream with mplayer or mencoder? it
seems that only mencoder supports -oac copy, and only mplayer supports
reading from a mms:// url.

it would be a handy function to have, either with -oac copy being in mplayer
or mencoder being able to handle mms:// urls. i know asfrecorder is
available, but it's silly to have a second application when mplayer can
almost do this.
