No, the "n" is the title number. For instance, 1 might be the main
feature, then 2 the making-of video, 3 a deleted scene, etc. -chapter
specifies the chapter. Be that as it may, I don't think you should
have any trouble using an external subtitle file, though I've never 
tried, myself.
