[MPlayer-users] Avi files

Hi all

I have .avi files which I have attached . When I run
with MPlayer using the following command :

mplayer -vo x11 check.avi 

It displays for a few seconds and goes off displaying
the following on the screen :

Can anyone tell me what is the problem or can anyone
tell me if there are any convertors from avi to mpeg
for linux or windows?
